Urban Rain Sound Effects Library | Big Cities Asia

This is another amazing rain sound library all of which were recorded in Busan, Korea, as well as Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand.

We lived in a high-rise hotel building overlooking the city and traffic while in Busan. We had two days of rain and on day one I recorded the rain and traffic passing by on wet roads from our hotel window.

When it began to rain heavily early morning, I went to the rooftop and recorded the morning rain ambience while underneath a wooden roof. The dripping water, the distant air system, and the overall city atmosphere all contribute to a wonderful eerie vibe.

Chiang Mai!
When the rain started, it was already nighttime, so I went out into the streets, hiding in a small dark side alley under a metal roof. The rain hitting the metal and dripping on the concrete street created a strange and eerie sound.

Bangkok!
We also lived in a high-rise condominium in Bangkok, overlooking a small side street with the BTS line to our right and a busy road. I placed the microphone on our balcony to record the rain, air systems pedestrians, and traffic.
