This sound library is an immersive collection of ambience recordings, each offering a unique perspective on this incredible port city.

From the industrial port, experience the powerful presence of massive ships docking, with water splashing against concrete walls, ropes squeaking as they tether to the pier, and the distant yet distinct sounds of construction and light traffic.

Recorded moments include ships and ferries navigating the harbor, the subtle sounds of their ropes mooring, ship horns echoing, and captains announcements over loudspeakers.

In contrast, the fishing port presents a calmer setting, with the sounds of fishing boats docking, fishermen preparing and repairing nets, and the gentle hum of everyday life. The serene ambience of the seaside container port melds the industrial hum of the harbor with the rhythmic activities of fishermen at work.

Daytime recordings from various locations around the Qijin District further enrich this collection. Listen to the bustling activity at the seaside harbor with containers moving, trucks beeping near stop lights, and the constant movement of cranes and trucks in the massive container port. Not to be missed are the long, resonant boat horn blasts from container ships, a signature sound of Kaohsiung's busy harbor.'

Hidden within a small side street next to a ship repair hall in the southern Qijin District, we recorded the daytime clatter of metal work and distant sirens.
