Royalty Free Chimes Sound Effects | Binaural

One sound design element that I always love to record are chimes sound effects. These are wonderful sounds on their own, but also great for sound design. When using programs like Arturia's Pigments or Vital you open up a completely new world that gives you endless opportunities to create new amazing sounds using chimes as the source.

How did I record these sounds?

I used the DPA 4560 with the Zoom F3 to record in binaural. While recording the chimes, I had these microphones in my ear to get the binaural effect. So if you ever needed binaural chime sounds, this one is for you.

At the same time I used the Sound Devices MixPre 6 and the Rode NTSF1 and exported these sounds from the raw A format to a stereo mix.

I also changed the location to record these sounds. Since we don't have a studio, I recorded several sounds in our apartment & in the condo's staircase, which created their own spooky reverberations.
