Malaysia Penang Night Market Sound Effects!

by freetousesounds

Hi Guys
Finally, my first album from Malaysia is up and I have officially in eighteen countries sounds recorded. YEEHAA :)!

In this album, I show you around the Farlim Night Market In Penang, Malaysia.
The market is a little bit outside of Georgetown and the market is very local. I saw maybe two or three tourists around and most of the language that I could record as "walla" was in Malay or Chinese dialects.

The market is one of the biggest markets around Penang but not as big like a night market in Chiang Mai for example.
I recorded sounds on five different spots

I went to an area to record the sounds of people walking by, you can listen to the street food stalls in the background shouting or chatting. A man makes sugar cane and uses a really cool sounding machine for it.

Overall the market had a really fantastic vibe.

Later on, I came across two street food stalls and recorded the sound of the food process.
They using huge woks, firing up the woks with gas and turning the food with spatulas. This is track number 4 and 5 in this album.

A big difference to other markets like the ones I visited in Thailand or Vietnam is that each of the vendors had its own power generator.
This creates a different soundscape.

I hope you can use many of the sound effects that are included in this album and greetings from Malaysia.
