Soviet Train Sound Library | TGM 4 And VL10 Freight Trains

If you love trains, then I promise you that you will love this brand new sound library. If you've already downloaded the Vietnam Train Sound Library, then you've probably noticed the D4H-528 soviet diesel locomotive that I recorded up in Dalat.

Here in Georgia, especially in Tbilisi, is one of the main freight stations, and when I was there I was lucky enough to record a TGM4 and a VL10 locomotive.

The big difference between these two locomotives is that the TGM4 is a powerful diesel locomotive and the VL10 is an electric locomotive.

First, I recorded two TGM4s that were moving back and forth on the tracks without the wagons. Then I could record very loud horns and powerful but also frightening sounding train squeals. Amazing for sound design! (MKH 8040-just saying :))
Later two TGM4s pulled a convoy of container wagons.

Then the VL10 starts the engine and slowly drives away with over 30 industrial container trucks. I promise you the sound and soundscape will blow your mind. (photos attached)
Being in Georgia is amazing because it enables me to record sounds that are unique and cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
