Insects & Swarms | Insects Sound Effects

I recorded insect and swarm sound effects in Bali, Indonesia. One night, I witnessed a swarm of hundreds of insects flying to the closest light source. The next morning, I observed the aftermath of the swarm, which was cleaned up by hungry geckos, birds, ants, and spiders.

I used my Zoom H6 and a pair of Micro USI Pro by LOM microphones to record the swarm. I placed the Zoom directly under the light and attached the microphones to the light source to capture the sound of the insects' wings and vibrations.

In addition to the swarm, I also recorded cicadas, a night frog croaking, dogs, and chickens in the background. These sounds were recorded in an amazing way and offer a unique experience for listeners.
