Cyprus Sound Effects Library | Nicosia

Prepare to be fully immersed in the sounds of North and South Nicosia with our latest sound library! During our 1.5 month stay in Cyprus, we gathered an incredible 10 Gb sound library with 44 tracks and a total length of 140 minutes from Nicosia

On the Greek-speaking side, we captured the ambience of the Historical Museum Cyprus, the beautiful sounds of the Holy Cross Catholic Church, and the lively sounds of the city with honking cars, trucks, and motorbikes. We also recorded retired Greek-speaking men playing games and school children on recess, along with the busy crowds around Ledra street.

On the Turkish-speaking side, we recorded the captivating sounds of the Selimiye Mosque, including the call to prayer and children playing. We also captured the vibrant crowds and restaurant ambience at Büyük Han, along with the market place where Turkish-speaking retired men were shouting and laughing while playing Backgammon. We even recorded the serene ambience of the Arabahmet Quarter, along with the sounds of young crowds at outdoor cafes and the delightful sounds of birds, pigeons, and swallows all across the city.
