As a sound enthusiast and avid traveler, my passion for transportation sounds and sensations led me to the breathtaking Shinkansen trains in Japan. Equipped with my trusty DPA 4560 in-ear microphones, I embarked on a mission to capture the unique sensory experience of this technological marvel, renowned for its unparalleled speed, safety, and efficiency.

Upon boarding the train, I donned my binaural microphones and immediately became immersed in the quiet hum of the train, interjected by the occasional sound of footsteps and luggage gliding down the aisle. Walking through the train, I recorded the opening and closing of the doors, the gentle rumble, and vibrations of the train, and the low chatter of passengers chatting, eating, or dozing off in their seats.

My binaural microphones allowed me to capture the full depth and 3D soundscape of these sonic sensations, so you can feel as if you're right beside me, experiencing the train ride firsthand. As I traveled to the end of the train, I captured the sound of the train's windows vibrating and the gentle squeak of the train in motion.

But I didn't stop there. I ventured into the train's bathroom, where I recorded the sound of pressing the button and the hydraulic sound of the toilet flushing, followed by the whoosh of water flowing. These sounds may seem trivial, but to a true sound enthusiast, they add an extra layer of sensory delight.

This is just one of several Shinkansen and bullet train sound libraries I plan to release, but this one is special. It's exclusively in binaural audio, which makes for an incredibly immersive experience. Join me on this sonic journey and hear the train come to life in ways you've never heard before.
