Something new from Bangkok!! :)

Bangkok has an incredible network of canals. I took the public boat taxi from Phanfa Bridge to Wat Sriboonreung and vice versa. Before the driver showed up, I recorded the ambience from inside the boat.
You will hear some of the arriving passengers, the famous Koel bird in the distance, and also emergency sirens.

The driver came and started the engine. The first recordings are made in the back (aft, stern) of the boat. It was very busy, but the engines are so extremely loud that you don't even notice. We arrived and left several piers along the way.

After arriving in WS, the driver turned the boat 180 degrees in this small canal. Later I jumped on another boat taxi & this time I recorded the sounds in the front (bow) direct behind the driver.

We're here for another month and I'm going to take a couple more ferries to create more sound libraries like this.
